Climate

Charkhi Dadri's diverse regions have different climates, with the weather system on the coast contrasting with that prevailing in the interior. The coast has cool, rainy winters and hot, moderately dry summers. Generally, rainfall is less to the northeast. The coast along the Southern Waters receives the greatest amount of rainfall.

Mountains close to the coast prevent the Southern Waters influence from extending inland, giving the interior of Charkhi Dadri a continental climate with distinct seasons. Winters on the plateau are especially severe. Temperatures of -30°C (22ºF) to -40°C (-40ºF) can occur in the mountainous areas in the east, and snow may lie on the ground for 120 days of the year. In the west, winter temperatures average below 1°C (33.8ºF). Summers are hot and dry, with temperatures above 30°C (86ºF). May is generally the wettest month with July and August being the driest.

Government

A sultanate is a sultan's domain, the territory ruled by a sultan, just as a kingdom is a territory ruled by a king. Like a monarchy, a sultanate is a government in which supreme power resides in one person. The Sultan of Charkhi Dadri has absolute power. So, Charki Dadri may be understood as an absolute monarchy.

They follow agnatic succession. It is the restriction of succession to those descended from or related to a past or current monarch exclusively through the male line of descent: descendants through females are ineligible to inherit. So, in this form of succession, the succession is reserved first to all the male dynastic descendants of all the eligible branches by order of primogeniture, then upon total extinction of these male descendants to the husband of a female member of the dynasty. Their children gain the second name of the royal dynasty.

House of Sarbadhikari is considered to be the only royal family in this sultanate.
