1 NE: Alberto "The First King" Ferreiro encouraged people to remember Olom Tisma's teachings and kneel before Dieu Soleil. In this way he united the people in the territory that is currently the Aquera Kingdom under the title of "Paladin of Olom Tisma" and was crowned by the Council of Dieu Soleil as the King of the Aquera Kingdom.
1-22 NE: Ferreiro's Conquests. Once he was acknowledged by the Council of Dieu Soleil, the recognized voice of Dieu Soleil, Alberto Ferreiro announced The March of the Light. He gathered an army of believers and men of his Kingdom to start a holy war. This way he expanded Aquera's territory to Abismo Lake, stealing the tribal lands of the heretics, and either murdering or forcing them to convert.
20-22 NE: Tribes united under three powerful leaders to resist the cruelties of the Olometist army.
22 NE: Battle of Solstice. Aquera's army meets the united powers of Rupert Larouss, Delmore Roussel, and Francille Roatta in the fields by Abismo Lake. The heretics suffer a heavy defeat: Delmore Roussel betrays his companions and retreats in the middle of the battle, Francille Roatta is kidnapped and her people scatter, Rupert Larouss tries to resist, but is forced to retreat.
25 NE: Francille Roatta accepts Olometism and marries Cristoval Ferreiro, second son of The First King. They take part of Aquera's army and march back to Francille's lands. Her people bow to their leader and accept the new faith.
27 NE: Francille Ferreiro nee Roatta signs a peace treaty with Rupert Larouss.
30 NE: Cristoval Ferreiro dies under mysterious circumstances. Francille Ferreiro nee Roatta marries Rupert Larouss and they establish a tribal confederation of Larouss, Roatta, and Roussel people.
44 NE: Francille Larouss nee Roatta dies under mysterious circumstances. Rupert Larouss approached the new leader of the Aquera Kingdom, through whom he is introduced to the Council of Dieu Soleil. Rupert Larouss accepts the True Faith and is acknowledged as King of Chantour, a new Kingdom.
53 NE: Aquera sends troops to overthrow the new Queen of Chantour, Nathalie Roatta who is responsible for persecutions of believers of the faith. The Council of Dieu Soleil supports Dash Roussel, former ward and squire of Rupert Larouss as a possible new King.
53-59 NE: The Six Years War. Queen Nathalie Roatta of Chantour successfully resists Aquera's attacks, especially after the Gallois and Leclair people join her to reach the same goal - destroy the Olometists.
64 NE: A distant relative of Rupert Larouss, named Richard Larouss, stands as the most legitimate choice to take the throne of Chantour after the death of Queen Nathalie Roatta. He swears loyalty to Dieu Soleil and is accepted as the new King.
98 NE: The son of King Richard Larouss comes of age and seeks to claim the throne of Chantour. When the Council of Dieu Soleil lend their support for Ranier Roussel to be king, Ranier becomes king instead as he also held the backing of the people of Chantour.
116 NE: The Loutraki Revolution. The locals in the southern area controlled at the time by Chantour declared their independence, sending word to the Council of Dieu Soleil for official support for this action claiming to follow the ways of Dieu Soleil. The motion was approved and the Republic of Loutraki was founded. King Remy Larouss was enraged by this turn of events, however the Council of Dieu Soleil would turn the Kingdom of Aquera against him if he tried anything without official sanction against another realm which followed the faith.
125-140 NE: The Heresy Campaigns. During this fifteen year period multiple wars and battles would be fought across most of the known world. The Empire of Aquera came into open conflict with the people that would later create what is known today as the Principality of Isaccea where the borders of the two nations changed every few months back and forth in a bitter holy war against the heretics. Loutraki took no part in the war between Chantour and San Severo, which Chantour viewed as treason against the faith. The efforts to have the Loutraki declared an enemy of the faith by Chantour never came to be as Loutraki regularly aided Aquera in their holy war. The Loutraki forces actually fared much better against the Isaccea peoples than Aquera.
141 NE: Geisenheim declared their independence from Chantour in a fashion similar to Loutraki. Approval was given due to the long history of loyal service against the heretics and the Dukedom of Geisenheim was recognized.
141-143 NE: Under the reign of the newly crowned King Mathieu "Fierte" Larouss, Chantour declared open war against not only Geisenheim, but also Loutraki and even Aquera as well. Remy Larouss believed it was his destiny to unite all the various traditions of Olometism into a single nation. Aquera was declared an enemy as the Council of Dieu Soleil were said to have "lost their way" and fractured the nation Olom Tisma prophesied would bring an end to evil and sin.
143 NE: Following the death of King Mathieu Larouss Geisenheim was divided in half. The eastern half requested approval to form the Dukedom of Lichtenau, this request was granted not only by authority of the Council of Dieu Soleil, but also with the support of Geisenheim.
150 NE: Loutraki is provided with copies of Aquera's charts of the northern coastline of Chantour as paret of diplomatic agreements.
155 NE: King Mathieu Larouss of Chantour had an older beautiful sister, who was married off to Duke Esteban Ferreiro cousin of, King Emilio Ferreiro. With the support of the Council of Dieu Soleil and the Empire of Aquera, the acting regent of Chantour Sebastien Leclair, was easily removed from the throne and Enzo Ferreiro was announced as the new King.
179-186 NE: The Kingdom of Aquera take part in many skirmishes with what is currently known as Isaccea. It was mostly provoked by Isaccea itself, because their people kept attacking and raiding villages on the shared border with Aquera. Aquera managed to conqure these lands. They murdered the heads of all the leading families. The region was destabilized and most of the armies of Aquera were sent to the pennisula to maintain order. Aquera is proclaimed an Empire.
200-300 NE: The Aquera Empire, Chantour, and Loutraki suffer sudden attacks by pirates. Their merchants and explorers have no peace. The Shoreless Ocean becomes one of the most dangerous places in the world. Most of the ships are attacked, robbed, and the crews are murdered. Some rumors start to spread about Ghost Ships marked with black flags with crowned white skulls in the middle. This entire period is known as the "Piracy age". It is said that ships were robbed by pirates even in the Glassy Depths, Caos Bay, The Boisterous Sea, The Southern Waters and other places.
211 NE: The Royal Navy of the Aquera Empire is burned and a sister of the current Emperor, Hernandez Ferreiro was kidnapped. The Council of Dieu Soleil announces a holy war against the pirates. Anyone suspected of piracy must be hanged is the order given to all. All nations which follow Olometism start to hunt pirates.
219 NE: Emperor Hernandez Ferreiro receives a troubling message, that his sister Esmeralda Ferreiro gave birth to a child by the "King of Pirates" and he demands to stop the war against them or she and her baby will die.
220 NE: Emperor Hernandez Ferreiro approaches the Council of Dieu Soleil, asking to cease the Holy War against the Pirates in order to save his little sister. The Council of Dieu Soleil renounces the Emperor’s sister as one who lost the Path of the Light, as a true follower of the faith would die before allowing a heretic to leave her with child or failing that kill herself instead of allowing such a child to be born. They do not make any moves to stop or delay the war.
221 NE: Emperor Hernandez Ferreiro receives a shipment from the Northwest. He finds the body of his sister and her child in a huge chest which is sized well to function as a coffin for the Emperor’s sister. The chest is decorated with floral ornamentation and the woman and her child are dressed in some of the finest clothes.
221-267 NE: The war against piracy continues. The Pirates show skilled tactics, they are quick and hard to catch. Of course, some are caught and hanged in the largest cities of the continent. Many people are hanged under false accusations. Common people see piracy as a means to get rid of their competitors or gain revenge against their neighbours. Worse, the same practice becomes common among nobles as well. It’s the time during which it starts to become harder and harder to know who is friend or foe. People grow afraid of their own neighbours and of betrayal. They are afraid of being accused of working with pirates. So, they basically stay at home. Trade suffers huge loses and merchants lose jobs. Countries suffer a great loss in their respective economies, Aquera among them.
268 NE: Emperor Salvadore Ferreiro, son of Emperor Hernandez Ferreiro convinces the Council of Dieu Soleil to negotiate with the so called "King of Pirates". He himself offers to marry the daughter of the King of Pirates, if he has one and make her Empress for the sake of peace. Also he agrees to share some of the technologies of the nation with the pirates. The Council of Dieu Soleil agrees to acknowledge the man’s title and allow him to rule the lands from which they come. So, an invitation to negotiate is sent.
270 NE: The King of Pirates arrives in the Empire of Aquera. It is said that the proposal made him laugh. The man stood up and said obscenities in arrogant, heretical fashion and then he left. The man arrived with an army of pirates. They could have slaughtered the people of Aquera if they decided to abduct their King. So, the man was allowed to leave.
270-289 NE: The Year of Poverty. The attacks of the pirates became even more fierce than the war against them. Most of the people were afraid to even to leave their own homes, his time out of fear of pirate attacks instead of being falsely accused by their neigbours of piracy or that they are supporting pirates. So, many people can’t afford food. Markets are empty and the larger cities suffer famine. Those who live in villages managed to grow some food, but it was usually taken by the guards and brought to nobles. This happened in Aquera who suffered the most because they didn’t have neighbours who could help, Chantour, and Loutraki.
300 NE: Aquera starts recovering as Chantour is able to start striking back against the pirates and winning.
308-312 NE: By this point Aquera is able to secure their northern coast up to the Great Penninsula in the northwest.
314 NE: By this point all coasts in the north have been secured and freed of pirates. Having a stronger stand and the full support of Chantour, Aquera once again seeks the king of Pirates to secure an end to hostilities. This time however it is Aquera and the Council of Dieu Soleil who demand an end instead of requesting one. This time the King of Pirates is a different man, not a surprise as the former King of Pirates had first been seen roughly forty-four years prior. This new King of Pirates is no less arrogant than the last, and is unwilling to call a complete end to hostilities. He does agree to a ceasefire between his people and those of Aquera, Chantour, and Loutraki for a period of five years and recognition of his title and his people being recognized as a sovereign nation as well. The terms are agreed to, mostly so Aquera, Chantour, and Loutraki can rebuild their nations and further strengthen their respective navies.
319 NE: The ceasefire officially ends between the Pirates and the nations of Aquera, Chantour, and Loutraki. No attacks come from the pirates. All coasts of the three Olometist nations see an increase of security against pirates, and Aquera even starts to explore more of The Shoreless Ocean.
325 NE: With Aquera securing the coast of Isaccea from pirates, Aquera takes advantage of the aituation and started another war against their neighbor at this time, focusing more on trying to secure footholds along the coast and move inland from there instead of the primarily land-based conquests previously. This marked the official end to the pirate threat for the Olomtetist nations.
330 NE: The war between Aquera and Isaccea ends at this time, with Aquera’s victory and laying claim to virtually the entire land and starts efforts to force the locals to convert to Olometism.
340-350 NE: This becomes an era of relative peace across all known nations, largely as they all start to rebuild their respective powerbases, militaries, economies, or the like.
350 NE: United under the Roussel Olomist faith, a religious movement in Salaspils petition for recognition from the Council of Dieu Soleil recognition as a sovereign power, and thanks to their part in assisting in the recovery of the other nations during the Piracy Age, their request is granted resulting in it becoming the Dukedom of Nassau.
350-353 NE: The Northern War. After the recognition of Nassau as a sovereign nation Salaspils declared war. Seeking to reclaim the territory of the newly formed Nassau, the Salaspils people sought to either kill or drive out all Olometists by force. In 351 NE Chantour joins the fray after the Council of Dieu Soleil declares the war justified to maintain the sovereignty of Nassau. Aquera takes no direct part in the war, though they do provide support in terms of funds, supplies, and a few reserve troops who volunteer their time when they are able. The war finally comes to an end when Salaspils sues for peace, the Council fo Dieu Soleil agrees, and all Olometist nations are called to cease hostilities after it is agreed that Salaspils will recognize the independence of Nassau, returning all lands to that nation that might be held, and in return all territory that was part of Salaspils that does not include Nassau will be return to Salaspils without issue.
360-363 NE: The Southern Wars. Isaccea rises up in revolt throughout their lands against Aquera, an attempt to drive out their "oppressors" once and for all. A holy war isn't called called as San Severo and Charkhi Dadri ally and launch a combined assault on Geisenheim, Lichtenau, and Chantour. Aquera brings an end to their war with Isaccea in 363 NE, however it is a loss for them as Isaccea not only reclaims their old ancestral lands, but even claims some of the lands of southern Aquera along the shared border.
368-372 NE: The Isaccea Expansion. After recovering from their losses during the Southern Wars, the Isaccea launched another attack on Aquera. Due to assisting in the other half of the Southern Wars and the Northern War, the Empire of Aquera was still recovering economically and militarily. This granted the Isaccea early success as they pushed further into Aquera territory, reaching the southern shores of Abismo Lake and branching eastwards towards Chantour. Still not recovered enough to put up a suitable resistance the Council of Dieu Soleil called for another holy war, compelling the other Olometist nations to send support. Loutraki changed their trade routes so that for the first time they started to primarily trade directly with Aquera via the Boisterous Sea instead of by land through Chantour after disputes between Loutraki and Chantour arose following the Southern Wars. With the declaration of holy war, Chantour actually refused to send any support at all under the claim they didn’t have the manpower nor the funds to spare after the Northern and Southern Wars. This explanation was begrudgingly accepted at that time, largely as Aquera and the Council of Dieu Soleil had the threat of the Isaccea to contend with. The eastern Olometist nations sent no aid at all for the holy war, which initially was met with anger from the Council of Dieu Soleil and Aquera until they later learned why.
As Isaccea was nearing the border of Chantour, aid did come from Loutraki who had arguably the strongest military of the Olometist nations at the time due to not fighting in the Northern War nor the Southern Wars. Loutraki forces were able to land troops along the coast and started to reclaim ground from there north to the lands still held by Aquera. They also claimed the lands from the corner of the eastern border of the lands Isaccea held at the end of the Southern Wars to the border of Chantour. This provided a stable trade route between Aquera and Loutraki during the war. Loutraki forces were able to disrupt both the Isaccea economy and their ability to effectively supply their troops in the lands claimed from Aquera. These disruptions greatly decrease Isaccea’s ability to expand, significantly slowing their progress. This allows Aquera room to rebuild their own economy and military so that by 370 NE the army and navy of Aquera start to push back hard against the Isaccea and not only reclaim the lands taken by Isaccea, they even push into the northern half of the Isaccea Peninsula. Within two years the holy war ends and Loutraki withdraws back to their own lands, continuing trade with Aquera by sea. Aquera comes to realize the importance of the part the Loutraki played in the war especially as they were the only aid provided. The Aquera people, especially those in the lands claimed by Isaccea, feel indebted to the Loutraki and the alliance between the two nations strengthens heavily. Marriages between the strengthened allies among the smallfolk and a few lesser noble families, see a significant increase due to this perception of gratitude.
372-375 NE: Pierre’s Folly. Chantour was establishing a foothold in the westernmost tip of Charkhi Dadri after three years of war, Chantour was just starting to shift their focus to the coast when word reached Aquera and the Council of Dieu Soleil what Chantour was doing, and to what extent. Not happy about what could drag the Olometist nations into another war with Chakhi Dadri and possibly San Severo as well Chantour was ordered to end all their activities. The Council of Dieu Soleil especially wasn’t happy as the success of the war was based on the large army Chantour had created. These forces could have helped greatly during the Isaccea Expansion, but Chantour claimed to not have any troops, supplies, or funds to send. Combined with the reports about the extortion forced on merchants of the other Olometist Nations and the forces of the eastern Olometist Nations being extorted heavily just to pass through the lands of Chantour, in response to a call for a holy war. Needless to say these reports didn’t sit very well with the Council of Dieu Soleil nor Aquera.
When ordered to stop their actions Chantour presented merchants from Loutraki who had been taken prisoner in Sansevero, which Chantour viewed as proof of Loutraki's treason. As it was claimed that the Loutraki were in league with heretics, and were themselves heretics as true Olometists wouldn’t deal with heretics. While this did bring up some questions about the Loutraki, the Council of Dieu Soleil still had plenty of reason to place charges against Chantour. To ensure another war with Charkhi Dadri wouldn’t take place, the foothold claimed by Chantour was ordered to return the lands to their rightful owner and all personnel currently located there were to be handed over to Charkhi Dadri. An effort to appease the Charkhi Dadri, and not one the Council of Dieu Soleil liked much. Still an example had to be made of Chantour and fortunately this satisfied the Charkhi Dadri.
The western half of the lands Chantour claimed from San Severo, namely those that directly bordered Geisenheim southeast to the coast would be returned to San Severo without issue and all Chantour forces located there would leave those lands. The remaining lands would remain under Chantour control, as the Council of Dieu Soleil didn't want to give away all the gains for the faithful during this war, and any locals still there would be forced to convert to Traditional Olometism. King Pierre Roatta was ordered to face the Council of Dieu Soleil directly for judgement concerning the lack of aid being provided during the recent holy war, also for the extortion that was attempted against other Olometist nations.
375-377 NE: The Aftermath. Former King Pierre Roatta was placed in a form of house arrest, being given a mansion suited to his position in the holy city, he was kept there for the rest of his life, never allowed to leave the building, and constantly guarded by soldiers loyal to the Council of Dieu Soleil. The Council of Dieu Soleil had also ordered the borders of Chantour to be opened to all the Olometist nations once again, and any extortions were declared unlawful. This allowed trade and free passage to once more take place throughout all the lands of the faithful. The new King of Chantour is also directly appointed by the Council of Dieu Soleil, ignoring the laws of Chantour this one time - Rupert III Larouss. Loutraki explained the trading with San Severo as being done for two reasons, firstly to try and spread the faith through means other than those used by the arrogant Chantour, but also as Loutraki was supplying so much through trade with Aquera during the Isaccea Expansion, they had to start supplementing their own funds towards the end as the war lasted for so long, and as such they were forgiven by Aquera and the Council of Dieu Soleil both. In 377 NE, the lands of San Severo left under Chantour control appears to have met the conditions set on them by the Council of Dieu Soleil.
380-385 NE: The New Eastern Wars. Charkhi Dadri launches a surprise attack on Lichtenau during the night. Over the next five years Charkhi Dadri will gradually expand further and further into Lichtenau. In 383 NE this would change, as the eastern half of Lichtenau comes fully under the control of Charkhi Dadri, an unexpected threat comes from further east. The Sharya attack Nassau and the Charkhi Dadri in eastern Lichtenau. Already facing the combined forces of all the Olometist nations, this new threat quickly forces Charkhi Dadri to withdraw from Lichtenau. Likewise the Olometist nations shift their focus from the retreating Charkhi Dadri to confront this new threat in Lichtenau and Nassau. By 385 NE the forces of Sharya are pushed back into their own territory by the combined forces of Olometists, which for the first time fight as a united people against a single foe. Forces from all six nations set up border fortresses to secure the border and hold it with frequent patrols, and quick responses against Sharya incursions. This started a period where the six Olometist nations are the most united, a period that would last another ten years.
